Missing Beaverton nurse found dead; neighbor arrested for murder

Beaverton police have arrested a 33-year-old neighbor in connection with the death of a 32-year-old nurse who was reported missing on Monday

The victim, identified as Mary Pham, was found dead in her Aloha apartment on Wednesday afternoon

Beaverton police said they were called to the Creekside Village Apartments on Southwest Murray Boulevard at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for a welfare check. Officers found Pham's body inside her apartment and determined that she had been killed.

Police said they arrested 33-year-old Jonathan Becker, who lives in the same apartment complex, on Wednesday night. Becker has been charged with murder and is being held in the Washington County Jail.

Pham was a nurse at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center in Tualatin. She was last seen leaving work on Monday evening and was reported missing by her family on Tuesday.

Police said they are still investigating the circumstances of Pham's death, but they believe that she was killed inside her apartment.
