School Board Adopts Calendar for 2022-2023

The Loudoun County School Board has adopted the student calendar for the 2022-23 school year.

The calendar includes the following key dates:

• First Day of School: August 6, 2022
• Last Day of School: June 20, 2023
• Winter Break: December 19, 2022 - January 2, 2023
• Spring Break: April 10-14, 2023

The school board also approved a number of changes to the school calendar, including:

• Adding two teacher workdays to the calendar
• Moving the end of the first semester to January 27, 2023
• Moving the end of the second semester to June 20, 2023

The school board said the changes were made to improve the alignment of the school calendar with the county's other school divisions and to provide more time for professional development for teachers.
