Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal: Emma Hayes' Side Extends Lead at Top of WSL

Chelsea Women made a statement in the Women's Super League (WSL) title race by defeating Arsenal 3-1 at home on Saturday. The win extends Chelsea's lead at the top of the table to three points over Manchester City.
First-Half Dominance
Chelsea dominated the first half, with Lauren James opening the scoring in the 15th minute. Sjoeke Nusken then doubled their lead just before half-time with a clinical finish.
Nusken added her second and Chelsea's third in the 55th minute, giving the hosts a commanding lead. Arsenal pulled one back through Mana Iwabuchi in the 75th minute, but it proved to be too little too late.
The victory was Chelsea's fourth in a row in the WSL and took their tally to 39 points from 15 games. Arsenal remain in second place on 36 points.
